Bin Laden helmed the Al Qaeda network that executed the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and prompted the start of a war on terrorism that has dominated U.S. foreign policy.
"Justice has been done," says the president in
a dramatic late-night announcement of the Al Qaeda chief's death, the

Osama Bin Laden Killed By Navy Seals in Firefight
Osama Bin Laden was killed not by a drone strike, but up close during a
firefight with U.S. troops. He was not living in a cave when he died,
but in a million-dollar mansion with seven-foot walls just 40 miles from
the Pakistani capital, where U.S. forces killed him Sunday.
The U.S. had been monitoring the compound in Abbottabad for months after
receiving a tip in August that Bin Laden might be seeking shelter
there. He had long been said to be in the mountainous region along the

I turned to my 8 year old niece and said, "Today is a day you will remember the rest of your life because today something very big happened." Her response was, "Yeah, it's May Day." Which made me think, did anyone notice that? Did he say May day before going down? Osama bin Laden is dead, a man who can only be compared to the likes of a modern day Hitler, responsible for the deaths of thousands? Does God forgive men like that? Did he even realize that he needed forgiveness? Or is this one of those cases where we have to wonder just how far the mercy of God will go?
The next question is, who will fill his shoes now? We know it will happen, this is true in every instance where one evil doer has been done in, another rises up to take his place. It is the nature of balance.
God bless America, because we sure need it now. Those left here who supported him will surely retaliate in some fashion. Maybe bio weapons? Who knows, but there is sure to be more that will happen as a result of this. So celebrate tonight, but don't get too comfortable, because the other shoe hasn't dropped yet folks.
